Threads has received a pair of important enhancements as Meta attempts to boost the app’s popularity. One of the new features is an edit button, which will save people from having to republish something if they make a mistake.
It took X (previously Twitter) 16 years to create an edit button, which it then hid behind the Twitter Blue/X Premium barrier. Threads took little over three months to offer a comparable service that will be available on mobile and the web and will be free to all users.
As a reliable source points out, when you publish anything on Threads, you’ll have five minutes to change it. That’s a decent amount of time (X users have up to an hour to fine-tune their tweets). Threads, on the other hand, does not display a post’s edit history. That’s awful for openness, especially if someone dramatically alters the content of a post that quickly acquires traction.
Threads will soon be able to submit audio snippets, according to Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg. These are characterized by “karaoke-style transcription.” Another great improvement, especially for people who prefer speaking to typing (or using voice-to-text functions). Meanwhile, Threads looks to be working on a hot topics feature.
