Otter.ai has now launched Otter Chat, an AI chatbot created exclusively for business interactions. This “collaborative AI intelligence” serves as a help desk for everyone attending the conference, recording meeting data and distilling it into a discussion. This enables it to appropriately answer queries about the recent meeting, in case you were busy doing essential job stuff.
OtterPilot, the amusingly named chatbot, does more than merely recap meetings. It works with everyone participating to create material, such as blog entries and follow-up emails, depending on meeting data. It’s similar to an unpaid intern, except without the opportunity to go out and get coffee (for the time being.) According to the company, this is a significant improvement over platforms like ChatGPT, which source information from public data, whereas Otter AI Chat derives information from actual team sessions. Since the toolkit is collaborative in nature, the chatbot communicates with every team member at the same time or one-on-one. You can even send a connected bot to the meeting in your place. Work-life balance, please!
This small bot also handles the basic tasks that have made Otter.ai a popular destination for remote employees. It transcribes whole meetings, summaries material into easily accessible formats, and generates actionable item lists, among other things.
Otter claims that since its introduction last year, its AI systems have transcribed over one million words per minute and over one billion words. Otter AI Chat will be available to all users in the days to come, so keep an eye on your update bar. In addition, the company claims that no information will be held by third parties when utilizing the service, which is always a plus.
