Google’s latest AI update is being made on its note-taking app, Google Keep. Customers of the Android version of the app can now make a list according to their needs with the help of a new feature called “Help me create a list.” Google has stated that Gemini, its family of large language models (LLMs), is what powers the “Help me create a list” feature.
With this new feature, users only need to write a prompt or phrase into Google Keep, and the AI will provide fitting items to add to the list and even recommend further details that can be included.
When a user inputs “grocery shopping list,” for example, the AI can recommend products such as “fruits,” “vegetables,” “dairy,” and “pantry staples.” Once the list has been made, you can modify each item after inserting it into a blank note. You can also have it generated again to better fit your requirements.
“We’re excited to bring this innovative feature to Google Keep,” stated a Google spokesperson. “By leveraging the power of AI, we’re making it easier than ever for users to create well-structured and informative lists.”
The ‘Help Me Create a List’ feature can now be accessed by Android users. Google has not yet announced when it will be accessible on other platforms, such as the web and iOS.
A number of Google Keep features have been tested in recent months, and some of them have already been released. The company released a multi-account capability for its app in June, allowing users to utilize multiple accounts in side-by-side windows at once.
Resizing windows is another feature that was reportedly in development for Google Keep. With this functionality, keep windows can be maximized or resized. It can be accessed using a new sliding pane layout that enables window customization without requiring any set ratios.
