A few weeks remain until Apple’s WWDC 2024, and the company has officially announced the day and time of the keynote address. With developers and attendees getting an in-depth look at the latest software upgrades and AI advancements that the company has been working on over the past few years, this year’s WWDC is anticipated to be one of the biggest yet.

Apple WWDC 2024 will take place from June 10 to June 14 at Apple Park in Cupertino, California. The main keynote address is set to take place on June 10 at 10 AM PT. On the first day, the keynote will be streamed live on Apple’s YouTube page, or you can visit the Apple Events page to get all the updates from the live event.

It is anticipated that iOS 18, iPadOS 18, watchOS updates, and the most recent macOS version will be unveiled at the keynote event. It’s also likely that Apple will discuss its AI advancements in public for the first time.

It has been reported that the company is developing its own GenAI capabilities, which will be built into the new iPhone models on-device. Mark Gurman of Bloomberg recently reported on AI-generated features for iPhones, such as voice memo transcription and AI-generated emojis. He added that iOS 18 updates will include AI integration, making Siri even more conversational.

Even though Apple has reportedly signed an AI agreement with Sam Altman-led OpenAI, it is being speculated that the iPhone manufacturer still wants Google’s Gemini AI model as an “option.” Notably, Apple was developing a custom Ajax AI model for iPhones that would allow for summaries, smart replies, and on-device text analysis. iPhones will be able to analyze longer text passages, generate images, and handle other challenging texts once ChatGPT’s AI technology is implemented.

“We’re so excited to connect with developers from around the world for an extraordinary week of technology and community at WWDC24,” Susan Prescott, Apple’s vice president of Worldwide Developer Relations said. “WWDC is all about sharing new ideas and providing our amazing developers with innovative tools and resources to help them make something even more wonderful.”
