For quite some time, there have been rumblings about a Google Smartwatch in the works. Last month, rumors stated that a Google-branded watch will be released in 2022, and there’s news about when it will be available.
The watch is presently scheduled to arrive on May 26th, according to a leaker. While it appears to be an unusually exact date for something so far away, it coincides with the Google I/O developer conference, which is generally held in May.
The smartwatch, like other smartwatches in the Android ecosystem, is believed to have a circular face with no physical bezel. It will most likely have a heart rate sensor and other features similar to Fitbit, which Google purchased last year. The gadget might highlight the capabilities of Wear OS while also serving as a competitor to the Apple Watch.
The release date is not a solid fix as well. Neither is the device’s name, despite rumors that it would be dubbed Pixel Watch. Still, it’s worth keeping an eye on for Android and Pixel fans.
