According to a credible source, Google’s advertising customers will soon be able to utilize the company’s generative artificial intelligence to design ad campaigns. According to reports, the tech titan is planning to include its generative AI, which powers its Bard chatbot, into its Performance Max program. Customers may already use Performance Max to decide where their advertisements should run and to develop simple ad content. The source says, the AI’s integration will allow it to construct complex campaigns akin to those produced by marketing professionals.
The company apparently showed ad customers a presentation titled “AI-powered ads 2023,” promising them that its technology can produce adverts based on the picture, video, and text they provide. Furthermore, Google informed them that the advertising generated by its AI will be tailored to the demographic they want to reach and will be targeted to help them meet sales targets and other objectives.
The source says, at least one individual voiced worry about Google’s ad technology spreading disinformation since it may be designed to convert new customers without regard for truth. When Google advertised Bard on Twitter, for example, the chatbot falsely claimed that the James Webb Space Telescope had captured “the very first pictures of a planet outside of our own solar system.” In reality, it was the European Southern Observatory’s Very Large Telescope that captured the first photos of exoplanets. Google has promised the source that when it launches AI-powered advertisements in the coming months, it will put strict safeguards in place to prevent mistakes and misleading.
